I’m a huge fan of timing. Even though, at times, I will get really confused and impatient when certain things, people or events are MIA (missing in action) in my life. Timing is what makes life interesting, keeps you curious and leaves room for the unexpected and self growth. Trust that all timing is working out for you, not against you.
Easier said then done, right?
When you have a burning desire for something, it’s really hard to fathom why it’s not showing up or working out. This is where the concept of trust is key. Believing in the grace of timing is a must, especially when you get tunnel vision with REALLY wanting something to happen. For example, really wanting the job, the guy/girl, the house, the dog, a trip to Madagascar, whatever. When you begin to trust timing and trust something bigger than your want, that’s when you become unattached to the outcome. Oddly enough, it’s when you get to that unattached place that life becomes interesting and drops little gems right in front of you via coincidences and timing.
“Trust - what misses you was never for you. What's for you can never miss you. If you are supposed to meet someone, you will in the perfect time.”
Instead of feeling bummed when something doesn’t happen or does, but not how you wanted it too, trust that something better is in store for you. If you really believe that, it will help you to cope with feelings of disappointment. Obviously, you are human and it’s completely natural to feel defeated when something doesn’t pan out. Especially something that you really wanted. Let yourself feel sad or frustrated, but quickly realize that something more grand is coming your way. Your job is to believe that's true.
Belief in timing requires us to let go of thinking that WE know what should be happening to us and for us at any given time. Brace yourself for the following comment: We actually are not always right. Even the most centered, balanced, spiritual person on this earth is not always right and does not always know what needs to happen next. That control is what you give up to something bigger, which allows timing to start working for you in your life.
Not too mention, that when you have to cope with the reality of something not happening, it pushes you to build character and grow. If doors are closing on certain opportunities or relationships, perhaps they are supposed too.
Trust that timing is working in your life. Trust that it’s all going down as it should.
