Life can be challenging and when it is, it’s so helpful to know who to go to in your life for support. Knowing who your “tribe” is, meaning like minded people whom you feel connected and understood by, is so important.
Your quality of life can be improved when you know and spend time with people who you feel “get you.” So, how do you know who your particular tribal members are? Well, only you can answer that, but I’m here to help. What I will say to help you define who these people are in your life is this: Notice how you FEEL around others. This can give you a lot of information about whom you might be looking for.
When you start becoming aware of how you feel in the presence of another, you will get more in tune about how you want to feel. I know for me, I’m looking to feel understood and free to be myself. I’m looking for a natural connection, not one that I feel like I’m trying to call into existence.
On another note, being around people who you feel disconnected with can lead you to feel lonely and misunderstood. We all need other people in our lives to relate too and have fun with. No matter how introverted we define ourselves to be.
If you feel like you know who your people are, nice work. If you don’t, no worries, they are out there. It’s just a matter of you getting honest with yourself about what kinds of people you want to be around.
We all have people that we can connect with in this world that could add a lot to our lives. Our job is to be open and receptive to the people who we feel we click with.
