Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about manifesting what I want. I wouldn’t change a thing about the above image that I paired with this blog post; I want to be the girl in the image. I want to be behind the camera lens, soaking in and capturing the wondrous under water world. Frolicking with the fishes. I want to wear that amazing black suit in those clear, warm tropical waters.
Spending time to get quiet, honing in on what I desire and recognizing when I’m blocking my own self with limiting beliefs has become a daily practice. That’s exactly what creating a specific and vulnerable vision is: It’s an art and a practice of intention.
The more we hone in on the art of manifesting our dreams, the more results of what we want will show up in our life.
So what, in a nutshell, is the art of manifestation?
Manifesting is the process of bringing what we want physically into our life by using the power of our mind, our thoughts and our vision. Manifesting allows us to create exactly how and what we want our life to look and, most importantly, feel like. (Sometimes we don’t know what a person or situation needs to look like in order to feel and be the happy person we’re envisioning to be in our minds.) This is why tapping into the feeling part of our vision is often a central focus in manifesting our dreams.
Here are some quick tips to get familiar with to bring your dreams into reality:
A sure fire way to set yourself up for success is to get as rooted, balanced and grounded as you can. Learning about the habits and actions that you need to take in order to feel your best is great preparation for welcoming in what you want. Take time to get still and clear out any blockage from your life. “Blockage” can come in many forms. I recommend looking to clear any unnecessary noise from your schedule, detox from toxic relationships and clear out clutter from your home. Do whatever you need to do to get still in order to press the rest button of your life.
Get Crystal Clear
Create your vision. Go there. Close your eyes and create the best version of the movie of your life that you can think up. No limits. No logical and rational thoughts of what you think is possible based on your current circumstances. So often, when we are thinking about what we want, we limit ourselves so severely because we can’t understand how our dream could happen based on where we are now. I’m here to tell you this: Let go of what you think is possible based on your current circumstances. This is so huge because limited thinking is what keeps us small. It’s what restricts so many of us from living our best life. Think huge. Go big. Have no limits based on what you think is possible. Create the story of what you want without walls.
Feel what you want. Feel it in your body. Think about how what you want is going to make you feel. Play around with the exercise of visualization. In doing so, you can tap and tune into the feeling of what you want so it can appear in your life. Do you want to feel passionately in love? Do you want to feel super healthy and in shape? Whatever it is, feel into it. Go there. Spend time going there. Visit that special vision and feeling on the daily as if it’s part of your routine. Simply put: Day dream.
Believe that you can have what you want. Period. If you are skeptical, spend time clearing any blocks that are leading you toward doubt. Do whatever you need to do in order to believe that you’re deserving of amazing and huge events and circumstances to come into your world.
Trust the Process
Believe that there’s something bigger working for and with you. If you’re clear about what you want and believe that it’s possible, hold that space and trust that the work you have done, thus far, is creating your vision. Practice patience. Be mindful of when you become unsettled and in doubt about the process of manifesting. Practice believing that what you want is going to show up. It’s on it’s way, it’s just a matter of time. If you hold the space and remain open and positive, trusting that what you want is “on it’s way,” you’re staying in the receiving zone.
Do what you need to do on a daily basis to experience happiness. Nurture the positive connections that you have in your life. Stay balanced with your eating, sleeping, water intake, work load and time for self care. Do what you need to do to keep your energy vibrant, positive and flowing.
Dreams do come true. Amazing things are happening to people everyday. You’re no exception to the rule. You can have what you want. Go for it. Manifest it. Cheers.
